Hitting The Gym Has Never Been So Easy With Aaptiv

In May of 2022, Aaptiv was voted the #1 audio fitness app according to the Apple app store, so what's all the hype about? Aaptiv is an audio fitness app that allows users to work out anywhere with a personal trainer in their ear the whole time. I started using Aaptiv around March 2020, whenever COVID-19 first hit and the worldwide lockdown hit. Gyms were closed, we were all eating and laying in bed too much and I decided that I wanted to be able to start a gym routine from home.
Aaptiv has hundreds of workouts with many different intensities ranging from beginner to intermediate to expert all with different workout lengths and styles. Aaptiv currently has 15 different workout categories which include; treadmill, strength training, outdoor running, sleep, walking, stretching, pilates, meditation, elliptical, yoga, indoor cycling, barre, stair climbing, boxing, and rowing. Aaptiv also has many different trainers some more intense and some more motivational.
Aaptiv works by choosing your workout and a pre-recorded trainer will start talking you through the workout, explaining your breathing, proper form, what speed or weight you need, how you should feel, etc. Aaptiv also has a Coach tab for you to create a workout routine. You will select what workouts you want to do, when you want to do them and how long. Aaptiv also has other habit options like drinking more water, eating fresh food, meditating, etc. You can also select training plans like building strength, staying fit, losing weight, etc. and Aaptiv will create a week-long routine for you to help achieve those goals. Or you can create for own routine.
Aaptiv will also sync with your apple watch to help keep track of your workout, burned calories, and beats per minute. You can also choose to select with music you want to listen to whether it's the playlist used for the workout or different categories of Aaptiv curated music or your music from your preferred music app. Aaptiv also has many articles that users can look into for nutrition. Aaptiv has a team tab where you can post your progress from your trainers or other Aaptiv users to see and interact with.
Say you're wanting to get into yoga but have no idea where to start, well Aaptiv has many programs for every kind of workout to help create habits. Yoga, for example, has four programs you can join, “Intro to Yoga, The More You Flow, 7 Days of Yoga, and Yoga for Athletes.” If you are already familiar with yoga you can simply just enjoy the many yoga workouts that Aaptiv has to offer and intensities ranging from 1 to 5, one being a beginner and five being an expert.
My personal favorite Aaptiv category is the sleep category. You can choose many different “workouts” to help you sleep better and longer. Aaptiv’s sleep feature has a soothing trainer who will guide you through breathing exercises, body scans, mind distraction tactics, and more to help you get sound sleep at night. To work out, I use treadmill workouts and yoga. When working out the trainer will explain to you how to get into the pose or position and will explain every detail on how to properly do the workout but they also proper a slideshow of videos showing the pose or position for you during your workout.
Ultimately, Aaptiv is a life-changing app for people (like me!) who are wanting to get healthy and take care of their minds or bodies but don't know where to start.
